both vary from state to state and country to country, but..... criminal acts ocurr every 6-60seconds every day in America, these acts ranging from shoplifting to murder.
financial wise well over 100billion dollars is lost is lost each year to crime, with the major damage suffered by the retail industry with 95 billion dollars lost each year.
please specify exactly what crime category you r interested in for more in depth statistics
