My ex-husband refuses to let me get on with my life. He was emotionally abusive while we were married but became physically abusive after I left. He has seen Dr's and been an out patient a couple of times since we seperated but he still can not accept the fact that I left. He has threatened suicide a couple of times and has stalked, beaten, raped and taped me over the last year. I want his family to get involved and try to help him because I believe that he feels like no one loves him and by his family not getting involved it is just making him more desperate to try to keep me. He wants to be loved more than anything else I think that is why he won't let go. He thinks everyone he ever loved has left him so he thinks he can stop me. Do you know of any programs or ca you suggest what needs done?

ther are places that can help you expecially if you are in danger i have been there and i know how hard it is to finally let go of something that you once loved but after going through so much i relized that love dosent have to hurt. so i got away and never looked back. we were together for ten years and it was terrible so my advise is call task force batter women shelter and they can give better advice on how to handle this matter. and the fact that he been in and out of clinics sometimes isnt enough you must go father.i have been seperated from my ex for 3 years but know we are friends something we lost in the relationship due to the violence. be strong and protect yourself and if there are children involed thikn of them kids shuold never see violence seek the help you could also call united way they have alot of connections that could help.
