If you really love this man you both need to go to counseling. I have been through one extremely serious domestic violence relationship: he punched me in the kidney and I was peeing bright red blood( he bruised my kidney0 he said he would never hit me again. he hit in in back back as hard as he could witha golf club. I had a bad bruise for two months and I have extreme back pain everyday. He punched me in the mouth which split my bottom lip wide open, it needed stitches but I refused. I could go on and on. After I tricked him into a divorce he was arrested for pushing his girlfriend out of the car doing 60mph. Sshe was twenty years old witha two year old son. She died of massive head trama. I had a CPS worker come to my house and said his CURRENT girlfriend told them that he was abusing me and I told them I had not seen him in three years. My current husband has also assuated me and he said he would never do it again. He has assualted me several times. The major assualt in my mind was when I was pregnant with our daughter. Thats the day he quit drinking. He promised then he would NEVER hit me again. The last time was March 21st because I disagreed with him. By the way our daughter id 14 months and our son is 3 years ols and they have witnessed this. In the state I live in that is felony child abuse. I have told you all this to let you know how bad it can get. A batterer can change with theapy. Im not going to say once an abuser always an abuser because that is not true. If they go and get help then they can find out why they assualt their mates and how to change their behaviors. Let me know if I can help you in any way. Also there are domestic violence support groups avalible for you just to get your feelings out and listen to other women and what they are or have gone through.
