Evening Xperts,I was just wondering, it appears to me that there seems to be a large segment of the people who ask us questions are women with abusive boyfriends or husbands. My question is why do women insist in staying in abusive enviroments. My job during the day is working in a Salvation Army Shelter as the director of security with A daily flow of 1100 clients, it boggles my mind when i watch these women get tormented by their mates, Yet they stay and take it

So you want my two cents worth....
I think you have received some outstanding answers. Thus, the reason I did not respond.
It DOES boggle the mind. (It is unfortunate that one "xpert" took your verbage as an assault.)
I have a sister that went through this and the fear she had for her husband combined with two twin baby's combined with no money other than what he brought home resulted in her staying in the abusive relationship. She did get out....eventually.
Here is one, suicide. Boggles the mind. I don't need the "xperts" to explain why it happens. It just plain boggles the mind. PERIOD!
I think the two issues have one thing in common...you and I will never know just how much pain that person must be in and therefore, you and I will continue to use the word "boggles" despite all of the explainations.
