I thought I should followup, see you are a Californian, I am a fourth generation Californian, and I believe I made a mistake in moving to Kentucky where I have received such a bad taste of what the law is here.
Hopefully, it is not that bad in California, and again, thankyou for your advice on my question of a contempt charge that my ex husband brought and used against me. Thanks Again,

I was trying to guess what state you were located in, and Kentucky wasn't far off. The Attorney General of Georgia flew me to Atlanta a few years ago and I attended a state domestic violence conference with him, advising him on improving their domestic violence procedures. Georgia had lots of problems, and was in need of improved education. Sounds like your town in Kentucky is very backward.
On domestic violence issues, some parts of California are better. However, the "justice system" has problems in all states. California included.
Stay tough and good luck in the future.

From what I read they (the higher courts)are trying to reduce the effectiveness of DVO's. I hope you keep trying to change their minds too. Let me know if I can help. I have not lost all my abilities, or so I am finding out. I also owned a mortgage company and was in business for 23 years at that career. So I can type and I can help where it is needed. Thanks,
