We are senior citizens in East Windsor, Ct. We have made many complaints to town officials of a large pitbull dog next door (15ft or less-between mobilehomes) that has 8 weeks of urine and feces on the ground in 6ft high stockade fence. THEY DO NOTHING for months. Does anyone know how very unhealth this is??? We live in a barnyard. Any suggestion????

Dear Look888, Have you tried calling the health department? This is a definite health violation. Another option would be to notify the management of your trailer park in writing about the problem. A trailer pad is considered rental property and if the management doesn't do something in a reasonable amout of time, you could do what is called escrow your rent. I believe that in this case a reasonable length of time would be 30 days. You should send them a letter via return receipt mail making your request and stating that you will escrow your rent if something is not done. You might get other tenants to sign also. You can escrow your rent throught the county courthouse somewhere. Legal aid might be able to tell you more specifically. This is a legal way to prevent your landlord from getting their rent until they fix a problem and protects you from any non payment proceedings. The local housing authority may have more information too. I hope this helps. Let me know what happens. Friend2all

As of today there is about 80 or 90 days of crap and urine from this pitbull in stockade fence 5 ft from my kitchen window. I back up with pictures. I can't believe I am tangled in such a horriable mess(every crap is an assault on us). One neighbor 3 doors away died at 43 with a rash 2 months ago. This so very serious to seniors. HELP???? Thanks for your reply.
