Blessings from our lord above to those who attempt to help me! My problem is my son-18 yr.old just told me that he is a witch and also his girlfriend of one month. He was raised in an christian enviroment and accepted Christ at approx. age 14. He says that these witches(wicca) only do good spells on themselves. I believe there is only one God and that any magic/power recieved from other sources is evil. I don't know what to do! I know that it promises if you teach a child the right path to take that he will come back to it and I know to pray. He says that he did this two weeks ago., and I asked him if he still believes in God,Christ and his salvation and he said yes, but I'm not so sure that he isn't just telling me what I want to hear. Please help me and let me know if there is anything I can do further. Thank you to those who answer my question and may the Lord bless you!

My prayers go out to you. I have friends whose children have turned to Wicca. Unfortunately these young people don't know what they are really getting into, they do not understand what wicca is truly about. Your belief that the things done in wicca are wrong is correct. They do things which turn people away from God and Christ, turn them away from the Love and light of the truth. These groups are insidious, for they grab young people and gradually pull them in deeper and deeper until it becomes very hard for young people to leave. I too, would be worried that perhaps your son is saying what he thinks you want to hear. It would follow along with the teachings of wicca members to young newcomers. The things that are done in wicca can be very dangerous. I know. Having been raised in a Satanic cult, I am quite sensitive to the anguish of your heart. I always knew that it was wrong, but until adulthood I could not leave home, nor did anyone believe what I spoke of. It is horrific to think of the things that are done by groups such as wicca, and called good.
Pray for your son. Ask others to pray. Bring into your home people who will gently be able to show your son that the way of God, the way of Christ, is not through witchcraft. The Bible very clearly states that witchcraft is wrong. Point this out to your son. Fill your home with things of the Holy Spirit. Dedicate your home to Christ. Pay attention to the music and TV shows that are watched, the books and magazines that are read. Let your son know that he is loved, let others let him know that he is loved. Surround him with love. For love is Satan's greatest enemy, his greatest foe.
