DD_3000 asked this question on 5/10/2000:
Have faith in God.
LadyNimue1 gave this response on 5/10/2000:
Merrily Met DD: If you are saying have faith in God then we (as Wiccans or Pagans) do have faith in God. We simply choose to say God/dess. The face we choose to give him (or Her) may be different but so is the face of God in many other religions. To some he is Buddha, Allah or Krishna. To others he is Coyote, Zeus or Cernunnos. Our faith isn't ground in fear like many other faiths, it's respect and admiration. We worship the Earth for her Gifts to us and morn the Pain caused by Humans. We give her a Face as well. She is the Maiden/Mother/Crone. We tend towards giving "God" a duality nature S/He is both Mother and Father to us. If you meet one of us we won't try and convert you but we may have a dreamy look on our face that isn't drug induced but rather joy at being here.
DD_3000 asked this follow-up question on 5/11/2000:
Well I'm a Christian and I am joyful about being here and I also can take care of the earth.
LadyNimue1 gave this response on 5/11/2000:
Merrily Met Again: Well then Brother DD Blessings to you. But we (as Human Beings) must remember that "taking care of the Earth" also means being tolerant and loving to our fellow people whether they be Christian or Pagan, Muslum or Buddist. We must find a way to live together and to understand one another. Love and Light Nimue
