Merry Meet!

I'd like to ask 3 things.

1.) I've been going through a lot or Wicca sites and I noticed something. The Elements attributed to South and West are sometimes mixed up. South - Fire West - Water or South - Water West - Fire Are these different ways? Then why? Or maybe they're just mistakes?

2.) What's purification and how's it done?

3.) What do the degrees mean?

1.Earth is North Air is East Fire is South Water is West And yes if you have seen them differently it is a matter of difference in tradition. Just as Christians are different denominations. Wiccan have different traditions.

2. Purification is removing negativity. Cleansing in the name of the God and Goddess. It once again depends on your style of magic. Salt is the one cleans all. I use a black candle. Some use incense. Other use holly water, and there are those that use them all.

3.Degrese are just a way to say how long you have been in the craft and how much you have learned.
