TripleGoddess asked for clarification on 4/3/2000: Margaret, It is unclear as to what you tried to join. Did you try to join a coven? Please clarify what it is you tried to join so that I may assist you with an answer. I also need to know what things were suggested to you in order to join that your ex-husband refused to allow you to accomplish. I hope to hear from you soon.
TripleGoddess gave this response on 4/10/2000:
Margaret, I am glad to see that your husband is now an ex. It seems to me that there were serious issues of control being worked upon you. As for joining a coven, that is a personal choice that requires a significant amout of thought on your part. DO NOT rush off to join the very first coven that comes along. Be sure that you FULLY understand what will be required of you after you join. Ask some serious questions and if they hesitate even a little with their answers my advice to you is say "thanks, but no thanks" and leave. A coven is an organized religious group. A coven should have a set design based on what the coven desires to accomplish. Our coven has a written set of By-Laws and a membership application. We screen all of our applicants and place each and every member on a probationary period. We live by set standards that are included in the written information given to everyone who decides they want to join. We have a membership fee, but that fee was based on many different things. All covens DO NOT require a membership fee, but some do. Each coven is its own entity. Study them carefully and make an informed choice. Please feel free to contact me personally if you feel you need additional information. My e-mail address is listed on our site http://triplegoddess.faithweb.com/Main.html
Brightest Blessings, Raven
