While your answer did give me ALOT of understanding and history about wicca. I do have one more question (if you do not mind answering it).
Can Wicca call people to it?.......
minerva gave this response on 1/27/2000:
It can, for some people. Of course, every experience is different, but I know people that have adopted the lifestyle not as a religion but as a way of life, even though remaining Christian (one of my Wiccan friends is also Catholic). I think the reason is that there may be some things that Christianity is lacking, that they have found in Pagan religions in general, making their spiritual experience more complete.
I hope this helps somewhat. Please do feel free to ask; that's why I'm here. If you wish to research this subject further, let me know (I think the full version of the historical document that I edited to send to you can be found in my other answers, since the xpertsite server sets a limit on the amount of characters we can write). Aside from that, any book by Scott Cunningham or Gerina Dunwich is a good place to start. Or on the web, one of the best sites for information, if not the best, is www.witchvox.com (and I'm sure the rest of the panel will agree on that).
I hope you find what you're looking for--the important thing is to research and question everything; it's the only way to learn.
Blessed be.
