Hello,
I view your answer concering the Sabbath day and I have found it to be inaccurate.
Concerning the timeline. God created the days of the week, which are 7 days in a week. On the 7th day God blessed and made holy the 7th day. This is every before there was sin nor a Jew. So it origin has nothing to do with the Jew.
The Sabbath does not all entail worship because we should worship God everyday, but was is unique about the Sabbath day, God tells it to keep it HOLY. The things is you can not keep everyday HOly. Why? Because only tghe 7th day is HOly. how do you keep it HOly? REad Isaiah 58:12-14. To keep the Sabbath day holy, you shall not seek your own pleasure nor should you work on the 7th day. For this reason we cannot keep everyday HOly.
The Sabbath is in the 10 commandment thus is a moral binding law for ALL of God's children: Jew, Gentile, Free and slave. For God said< "the SAbbath was made for MAN." Notice He did not say that the Sabbath was made for a Jew. And even by Jesus saying this He is showing us that the Sabbath is to be kept.
May God speak well of you!!

Sir, time, like The Bible (and all other texts regarded as sacred) are human inventions, and most of the concepts and beliefs presented on it have been around since before man ever put quill to papyrus. The Sabbat, the Winter Solstice... all are beliefs that have been recycled or "borrowed" by whichever tribe won the war of conquest in any point in time.
The books of the Old Testament represent the cosmology of a particular people in a region of the world at a certain time and, except for one or two morality plays, has nothing to do with us here and now. If someone chooses to apply that to their lives in this day and age, albeit theoretically, that is good if it helps make them better people, and help make the world a better place for the upcoming generations. Shoving my beliefs down people's throats or judging them by my standards would do neither one.

The Sabbath was not a Human invention. God invented and He also invented are time line. God created the weekly cycle and it has not been changed since the beginning of time. Also the Sabbath is not just found in the OT it is alos found in the NT in all the Gospels the book of Acts and Heb 4. Also I am not shoving any belief down anyones throat. I see you have answered this question in a non-christian point of view. I just want to show people this so they will not confused. The bible was written by men inspired by God. If I took you stance then the bible was only good for those in the 1st and prior century. Also if the bible was written just for those people. then those things were written for them only. If that is the case then, killing, adultery were laws just for them and does not pertain to us. So Now i have the liberty to do what i want to do and have no accountibilty to noone.
