Wicca (white majick) is a pagan religion that is being addressed to federal authorities in the name of "freedom of religion." However, there are several practices that Wicca promotes and/or endorses that are inconsistent with military standards.

Wicca promotes the concepts of having no absolutes, individualistic morality, sacred sex and advancement of fertility cults. The primary and ultimate deity of Wicca is the Mother goddess. The fact that the primary deity is of female gender has an impact on the sexuality of its followers. In fact, Wiccans/pagans encourage and are known to practice same-gender sex, group sex and transsexual activity. Within paganism today, there is a growing trend known as "transitions." One example is where a male pagan converts over to a female pagan in order to honor the Mother goddess.

Wicca is not a harmless religion that only wishes good to all through chants and spells. Occult religions give opportunity for the personal contact of counterfeit familiar spirit beings that ultimately seek to reside within and control the submissive participant.

In addition to the immoral sexual behavior, Wiccans/pagans also use herbs during their rituals. A note of caution regarding the use of herbs by witches comes from Jack Roper of the Christian Apologetics Research and Information Service, who has advised police departments on Satanism and other cults. "Witches use the herbs as legal botanical drugs, yet there are ways of working with these herbs to create altered states. Mandrake, for example, is a root that can be turned into a hallucinogen." Marijuana is also another drug that is known to be used at Wiccan / pagan services.

The fact that Wicca is being considered and in some locations accommodated as a legitimate, recognizable religion is a "slap in the face" for all that America is based on. I encourage all Christians to contact their elected officials to express their views in regard to this issue.
