Or perhaps when then did he had them thrown overboard.

When I asked questions like that the response I ALWAYS got was, "Which word did you go past that you do not fully understand?"

I hold to the theory that Flubbard adopted the misunderstood word phenomenon because so many people were asking questions like that or would point out places where he contradicted himself. It was his way of getting a person shut down their critical thinking, getting them to introvert on some word instead of looking at him and his ranting.
