You're right about Jeff throwing the dog (me) a bone to try to get me to go away. He has tried all kinds of things to try to get me to stop my picketing. He once even told me that the more I picket the more people come inside and sign up for services.
However, I DO know that the SF mission REALLY is in serious trouble right now. I watched that place shrivel up. Jeff absolutely refused to even talk to me until the SF mission got their eviction notice last year. They thought that if they just kept ignoring me I'd eventually give up and go away. The executive director of the mission finally got Jeff to contact me to "call off the dogs" (meaning me). Seeing I was picketing a wounded fish (the mission) I then decided to picket the more lucrative Org.
