Hi Everyone,
A short while ago someone posted a list of suspicious fires involving CO$ buildings. Well, I've got one of my own now.
The middle of last year I got word that the San Francisco mission was going bankrupt. Then a few weeks later I heard that they received a final eviction notice. Then a couple of weeks after that (the last day I picketed them) I arrived at my usual time on Saturday and was surprised to see that they had the doors wide open. They also had two of those giant dumpsters parked out front. As I was doing my pacing they just kept hauling out all kinds of stuff and just throwing it away. This was office furniture and stereos and all kinds of other cool stuff. It all looked perfectly usable to me. People in the street were even walking into the dumpster and carting things off. I would have done the same myself if I had had a car.
After a while my curiosity got the better of me and I asked one of them, "What's the matter? You finally get kicked out of here?" The guy said, "We had a fire last night. We all think you did it."
I just let his comment blow off but I was now even more curious then ever. I asked my friend that worked at the clothing store a few doors down to get confirmation about this. He said, "Oh yes, they had a fire last night. The fire department showed up and everything."
With that I continued my picket, still constantly looking for ANY signs of a fire. Ya know, the whole time I was out there (from noon till 6:00P that day) I NEVER DID see or smell a single sign of fire, smoke or water damage. I left to picket greener pastures (the San Francisco Org) after that so I lost contact with them but a nagging suspicion has always remained that something wasn't right there.
Now, just the other day I found out that shortly after that mysterious fire they moved to a new 'cheaper' location about a block or two away.
This whole situation seems bizarre to me. When I first started picketing the San Francisco mission they had about 5-7 paying customers. After a couple of months of me picketing them they had NONE. Then I hear they get an eviction notice. Then Jeff Qurios contacts me, he wants to make a deal. I don't buy into it and I keep on picketing instead. Then they have this mysterious fire and now I hear they've moved to a new location. This whole situation smells like an insurance scam to me.
Does anyone know how someone like me can get the insurance company to at least check this situation out? Is there a reward for exposing insurance scams? If they did something illegal they need to be exposed and *I* sure would love to be the one to help get their ethics in concerning this. Any advice here would be appreciated.
