At one point I was worried that Battlefield Earth would draw in a lot of new recruits. Especially young idealistic people who would want to join Scientology and sign up for the Sea Org. I now see it all failing. I note that half an hour was cut from the film after intensive campaigning by Arnold Lerma about the possible subliminal recruitment messages within the film master. Perhaps as a result of this campaigning we have 30 minutes cut from the film. Another thing is that Hollywood hasn't been able to produce more than two half-sensible movies for 5 years and so Battlefield Earth would have been assured of a successful run since it has nearly half a whole plot in the story. Thankfully it has been overtaken by the film "Frequency" but more importantly by the film "Gladiator" which is a UK production and will piss all over it box-office wise. Even American women like it because since it is not acted out by Americans, the hunky male actors in it are not mincing poofters. They actually fancy women like those women going to see it. And word has gotten round that there are these males on this film who look good and actually are not mincing queers. It must have blown their minds in disbelief in the US where nearly every hunky male actor is as bent as a nine bob note. But we are into the land of the sane here near mainland Europe and over here most of our actors are normal human beings unless they speak with funny affected voices and swivel their hips and mince around.
But I digress. Basically, clamboys, your movie is already a mega-flop. It will not recruit anybody any more. It will not be even slightly popular except in the sense of the book being a best-seller like Dianetics was engineered to be. You clams are total failures. You set out to Clear the palnet and rid the world of psychiatry with the help of your super-dooper OT with the super-dooper powers and it all came to nothing.
