I still consider myself to be very much of a newbie

I recently had the opportunity to read the original reviews of the "Dianetics" book for the very first time, and this is something which I have been wanting to do for a very long time. Of course, the book was almost universally panned. I think that it is Gerry Armstrong who posted this material, and I would like to thank him for doing so.

And so now here I am reading all of these "great" (yeah, right!) reviews of "Battlefield Earth", and it's just like "deja vu all over again"! I doubt that John Travolta's career will be much affected by the fiasco, to be perfectly honest about it, and I even wish him the best (consider him to be misguided). Is there even a remote possibility that this flub is intentional on his part?

Just a casual speculation from one who really appreciates all of this great reading material.
