In all seriousness, which is worse?
Let's forget who made the picture, Scientology, etc. Judging solely on movie quality, which movie shows the least eptitude.
Plan 9 From Outer Space has, for many years, held the record as the worst movie ever made. People rented the movie, popped some popcorn, and showed it on their TVs just to see how bad it possibly could be. A great time was had by all with much laughing.
From all the reviews I've read of Battlefield: Earth, the special effects are sometimes competent, which is more than can be said for Plan 9. But apparently, the movie is so irritating, it won't be watchable for the humor aspects unless you have a couple robots and some guy at the bottom of the screen.
My judgement, and you may disagree, is that Ed Wood still holds the record for the worst movie ever. Amazingly, Battlefield: Earth fails to even succeed at that.
I hope a lot of people go to see Battlefield: Earth. John Travolta has succeeded where the SPs have failed - can you think of a better way to keep people away from Scientology?
