Battlefield Worthless Travolta Gets Lost in Space

Battlefield Earth has unearthed a minefield of controversy. Adapted from the best-selling novel by L. Ron Hubbard, itšs long been a pet project of John Travoltašs. The controversy: Travolta is a Scientologist and Hubbard founded the Church of Scientology.

The church denies any interest in the film. Travolta told Good Morning Americašs Charlie Gibson this week that the film isnšt intended to be anything more than entertainment. And other than having the villains hail from the planet Psychlo (as I understand it, Scientology has a very low opinion of psychology), I didnšt notice anything surreptitious or subliminal. Even if I had, it would have been among the least of the filmšs problems.
