"The real test about sales expectations for video, of course, will be in the initial sale price. If it is priced to sell, ($10-$20 for VHS), the distributors obviously are projecting good sales. If it is initially priced at $60-$120 (priced to rent), then it means the distributors are trying to maximize sales income by forcing video rental distributors to pay a high price before dropping the price down to the $10 to $20 range. "
