Just a note to let you know that your efforts to inform the public about Co$ are effective.
Early last week, I was viewing the movie openings for last Friday on myYahoo. I saw BE listed and clicked on it to read some reviews from people who might have seen an early screening. To my surprise, almost all of the reviews at that time were either rated one star(the lowest) or five stars(the highest). I had not seen such a vast disparity in reviewer ratings on that site ever before. The one star ratings were from people who had either read the book and hated it or seen a preview of the movie and hated it. The five star ratings were almost solely from people that had read the book and they fervently professed that the movie was going to be a mega-hit.
One reviewer did not rate the movie at all, but did prattle on about how the revenues from the movie were going into the coffers of a cult called Co$. He thought people should abstain from seeing the movie. At the time, I thought: "Who cares? I've heard of Scientology and I'm sure it falls into the same category as self-help guru Deepak Chopra. If people want to spend some money on pseudo psychiatry so that their inner self can meet up with their outer self and do the Happy-Happy, Joy-Joy dance, then what's the big whoop about where the movie revenues go to? It all seems harmless to me". The reviewer enclosed the web address http://www.xenu.net/ to go find out more about the terrible Co$ cabal. I clicked on it for laughs thinking it would be a hoot to see the web page of yet another crackpot conspiracy theorist.
Well, it turned out that Operation Clambake was anything but a hoot or a laugh. On the site, I soon came across some incredibly disturbing information about Co$. I was stunned and finding it hard to believe what I was reading. Fortunately, there were plenty of links on the site to reputable media outlets that provided the veracity I needed to attach a certain degree of plausibility to the horror stories unfolding before my eyes. There was also the name of a certain newsgroup repeatedly made mention of, and that is how I arrived at your Co$ information and humor gathering.
I must say that the A.R.S newsgroup has been both educational about the transgressions of Co$ and wickedly entertaining. Posters have cleverly sliced, diced, and flat-out thumped the Co$ illusion while also imparting serious and useful information. I did go back to the Yahoo Movies page for BE and left a decidedly pro-information about Co$ movie review. The review was taken down two days later. I saw BE after taking someone's advice on A.R.S. and purchasing a ticket for "Center Stage" and then waltzing into the BE theater.
To you veteran and new A.R.S. posters who are doing your best to inform and educate the public about the reprobates at Co$: I say, Well Done!
