what is the value of a 1972 24' Bruce Kirby sailboat in average condition?
Surveyors gave this response on 4/24/2000:
Most surveyors would be reluctant to put value conclusions on a vessel unseen. You also have considerations such as what kind of rigging, engine and so on. Your vessel's actual geographical location is also a factor. Your best bet would be to contact a broker in your area and have him research your question on a service such as the BUC Network or Computer Boat Search. These are databases compiled upon actual SELLING prices...if you want reality don't even concern yourself with asking prices you see in publications. If you go to our site, www.marinesupportonline.com, you'll find a link to Comp. Boatsearch on our Marine Links Page. If you have no luck, feel free to e-mail me with your particulars, (rigging, engine, where is the boat) and I'll see if one of my associates can put some numbers together for you. We are in the midst of technical problems with our ISP, so if it may take a while for me to respond. All the best, Joseph
