How would I find information about juvenile crime in the 1990's? Specifically, where are the statistics about juvenile crime, and what are families, schools, and communities doing about the problem?

Kurt, you can find information about juvenile cimes a few ways. The internet is a good place to start. You can also call the juvenile probation department in your area and they are more than willing to help you. I don`t have the exact stats on juvenile crime but I do know they are declining as far as Serious Youth Offenders. As far as what families are doing about juvenile crime , they are getting their children into conseling and after - school programs. A lot of parents work full time so they are to busy to keep track of who their children are hanging with so that leads to gangs, crime, drugs, ect. Schools and the community are assessing the "problem children" and putting them into special programs to curbs violence aand other undesirable behaviors. The community has after- school programs as well to keep the kids busy so they don`t have time to be out getting into trouble. I hope that helped you in your question.
