As I have repeatedly pointed out, I am not an atheist.

Indeed, the vast majority of Christians worldwide have no problem with evolution, and think that Biblical literalists are nothing but idol-worshippers who worship a Book About God instead of a God, and are too dumb to tell the difference.

The two largest Christian churches, the Roman Catholic and the Eastern Orthodox, have both declared creationism to be a heresy.

And of the 14 plaintiffs who filed suit in Arkansas to kick creation "science" out of schools, all but two were ministers, clergymen, and representative of churches and religious denominations. NONE of the plaintiffs were atheists.

The vast majority of Christians view creationists and fundamentalists as being jsut as nutty as I do. Indeed, most churches think creationists do tremendous HARM to Christianity, by making "Christians" look silly, stupid, medieval, arrogant, self-righteous, backwards, anti-knowledge, and pig-ignorant. The fundies simply reinforce the stereotype that many people have of "Christians" as uneducated redneck hillbillies who live in trailer parks in small southern towns and marry close relatives in ceremonies led by Preacher Billy Joe Bob.
