I recently received an email stating there was a petition to the FCC about prohibiting Touched By an Angel from using the term God in there programing. If that is the purpose of petition 2493 and 2495 how would one protest these petitions?

I doubt that anyone with any foundation in church-state issues would ever attempt to petition the FCC to prohibit a show from using the term God. I don't think they'd have a foot to stand on. It is a fictitious show and the creators can say whatever they want as long as it is not slanderous (or libelous-- can never remember which is spoken and which is written). I'm guessing that these are fictitions petitions that are designed to arouse fury and get a lot of people sending off angry letters to the FCC over nothing. I have never heard of these petitions or of any attempt to forbid the shows producers from using the word God. Quite frankly, however, I don't find it beyond belief that someone in the radical right religious group might start such a petition in an effort to make the press and their opponents look like idiots....
