I'm being treated for depression with celexa (citalopram). I have been taking augmentin for bronchitis and had also done some over-the-counter sudafed and Afrin for congestion. Also, I have been stealing my daughter's ritalin, grinding it up, and snorting it. Last week I had a few angry outbursts. Could the interaction of these drug have resulted in the anger or does celexa have those side effects alone? I'm on 20 mg.

I won't lecture but state unequivocally combining ANY drug,OTC drugs includied with any psychotropic can be risky. Therefore, always ask.Snorting Ritalin is incredibly dangerous. In fact taking Ritalin not prescribed is dangerous.Your behavior is one reason why Ritalin is os heavily regulated. ANtibiotics rarely interact.OTC drugs such as sudafed and Afrin can contain an ingredients that will increase blood pressure. Celexa is a boon to the treatment of depression and is a combination ant-depressant with few side effects. Take nothing without reviewing possible interactions......and leave your daughters Ritalin alone. She will miss a dose in the very least as prescriptions are written and must be filled under strict guidelines. You are also breaking the law.Good Luck in straightening yourself out.
