I'm being treated for depression with celexa (citalopram). I have been taking augmentin for bronchitis and had also done some over-the-counter sudafed and Afrin for congestion. Also, I have been stealing my daughter's ritalin, grinding it up, and snorting it. Last week I had a few angry outbursts. Could the interaction of these drug have resulted in the anger or does celexa have those side effects alone? I'm on 20 mg.

My blunt response is that you are lucky all you had were a few angry outbursts. Why don't you call a local druggist and talk with him or your doctor about interaction? I certainly make no suggestions about what to take or not to take to people. You know stealing someone's medication, grinding it up and taking it yourself is wrong and dangerous. call a detox center and talk with the counselor about your behavior which is serious. snorting, sniffing, stealing do not have anything to do with celexa...but they have a lot to do with addiction. There is a lot of anger in the tone of your message that makes it hard to find the good. I asked not because I was proud of this. It was an attempt to self medicate because of the drowsiness and lack of clarity I had from the celexa.
