I have been on Paxil for three weeks now for anxiety and although most of the bothersome side effects have lessened I still experience a very annoying one, tightness in my throat at times. I was told by a nurse that it usually goes away between 4 to 6 weeks. Is that so ? Is there a chance it will never go away as long as I am still on Paxil ? Also the bottom number on my blood pressure is up over 90 for the first time ever. Could that be another side effect and if so will that also go away ? I would really appreciate you educated insight on this matter.
Thank You,

HELLO PAXIL IS A GREAT MED FOR ANXIETY BUT YES IT CAN IN SOME PEOPLE RAISE THE BLOOD PRESSURE. I WOULD RECCOMMEND ASKING YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT A WONDERFUL NON ADDICTING DRUG CALLED ATIVAN. WORKS FASTER.... HAS NO SIDE EFFECTS.... AND GETS RID OF THAT TIGHT FEELING IN YOUR THROAT. I HAVE USED IT MYSELF AND RECCOMMENDED TO MANY WITH ALL SAYING IT WORKED GREAT!! PLEASE ASK YOUR DOCTOR. ALSO ONE GREAT BENEFIT OF IT IS IT CAN IF NEED BE... BE TAKEN UNDER THE TONGUE FOR AN INSTANT RELIEF!! I HOPE THIS HELPS!
