I'm being treated for depression with celexa (citalopram). I have been taking augmentin for bronchitis and had also done some over-the-counter sudafed and Afrin for congestion. Also, I have been stealing my daughter's ritalin, grinding it up, and snorting it. Last week I had a few angry outbursts. Could the interaction of these drug have resulted in the anger or does celexa have those side effects alone? I'm on 20 mg.

IM not an expert on medicine,so I cant answer your specific question,BUT.... Your obviously a kind of medicine-abuser. My advice to you is STOP IT! Further more, you may already have noticed, that I strongly reject medicine-use at all in case of depressive state of mind.Thats not the way to help yourself properly in order to better yourself. If you take medicines too easy, one subsequently automatically except the situation,as if you cant do anything about it yourself. This exceptance will bring you no further in curing yourself of your depression in a constructive way. If you, however,do decide still to use drugs, always work to the end of using these medicines graduately by working on yourself. (selfhelpgroups, evaluation of your own behaviour in relationship to your environment etc.)Feelings of depression are always related to the way you treat yourself. For your side-effects question:go see a doctor or pharmacist and ask them.Doctors and surely pharmacists should always be aware of all the medicines prescribed to one person and of the interactiveties between them in order to minimize bad side-effects and advice the patient how to use certain combinations of drugs. Wish you all the best. Gguru Nearfar.
