dear frisbee: how long have you been in therapy? i hope that im not being presumptuous.. i have been in therapy for approx. 1 year now and i was just wondering what things i should look for to know that we are coming closer to the end of our sessions. thanks :0) sherbie

Hello I have been in therapy for mant different things. Some of them I have completed and some I have not. The best way I have found to know when you may be headed for the end of therapy is when you feel confident in the ability to handle things on your own. If you feel a sense of renewed understanding, and acceptance and strength. Your therapist ( if they are worth their salt) will also tell you it may be time to lessen the visits or stop comin in all together. It is important to remember that when you do stop going.... there is no law that says If you feel the need you can not go back again. Therapy is different for everyone. Some times it takes longer than we thought and some times it goes very quickly. Good luck!
