i will like a brief explanation of what is disassociative personality disorder. My husband got that dx.

Sorry, I am not that good on personality disorders per say and am definitely not a professional.
However, my understanding of a dissociative personality disorder is that a person with this disorder is sort of aloof to others around him and doesn't really associate things he has done as a result of his behavior. He will escape problems by blocking certain parts of his life from his consciousness. He may even exhibit amnesic states.
