This past Sunday morning at 9:30 am, KGAN aired a program by the Coralridge Ministrys that was one of the most offensive programs I've seen.

It showed graphic homosexual scenes, and stated the life expectancy for non HIV+ gay men is 34. They claim the three leading causes of death for gays are AIDS, drug and alcohol abuse, and domestic violence.

I am angered that KGAN would air such a program when children would see this while looking for cartoons. I am even more outraged that it aired a program with Nazi tactics thinly veiled under "Christianity." They also noted a jump in gay-teen suicide in recent years. Is there any wonder? Young men and women are confused and scared by their natural feelings and they are being told by people, who "represent 'God,'" that they are sick and peverse for seeking love and happiness.

Is this the fundamentals of Christianity? It scares me to think that this American Hitler is allowed on the airwaves. I urge everyone to make your voices heard -- free speech is one thing, but lies designed to ostracize a portion of society, deemed unacceptable, is another.

KGAN must be held accountable for the programs they air. There is no excuse for broadcasting lies and ignornace to bolster ratings. I hope that Eastern Iowa will value all families, and all members of that family, and speak out loudly and clearly.
