Some of my friends have read Silver Ravenwolf Books and have even been to her teachings and during her spells she stomps her foot to "set" the spell Do any of you do that? has it seem to help out...

Dear Dream Weaver,
Silver's specific actions are not widespread, but they do serve a purpose, and you can adapt it to what feels good for you. She is essentially creating a "break", signifying the end of the spell. Whenever doing spellwork, it is important to have some kind of action to break your attention away from what you just did so your energy will be sent on it's way without any tendrils from you still sticking to it.
Silver uses a stomp. Some stamp a staff on the ground a certain number of times. Some say specific words, ex: "By the Power of Three times Three, As I Will it, So Mote It Be!" While others clasp hands and give a loud WHELP! throwing their hands and voices into the air.
The variations are endless. You just have to find what works for you to signal the sending of the energy of the spell.
Blessings, Luise
