Several questions: 1) I've heard there are many sects to the wiccan practice. Does anyone know how many and why? Is this disunity? 2) Are all wiccans also pagans and vise-versa? I noticed many list themselves as "experts" in both. 3) How does your practice define the difference between the "soul" and the "spirit"? 4) How do you view the christian bible? Does it hold any truths/beliefs for you? I appreciate your time and effort, and value your opinions.

I will attempt to answer each question in turn: 1) It is not a disharmony so much as it is an expression of each person's individual experience which causes the diversity of pagan "sects". Much like Christianity (oh boy, here come the flame wars) has different sects with basic similar tenets, Pagans/Wiccans have different sects with basic similar tenets. Each sect has its own variations which will appeal to different people and their experience of the divine. 2)Depends on your definition of "pagan" or "wiccan". Pagan means literally "from the fields" and wiccan means "one who shapes". I would safely say *most* wiccans are pagan, however not all pagans are wiccan. (If you want me to discuss this further, let me know) 3)Hmmm.. difference between soul and spirit?? Well, personally, I don't see much of a difference except that when most people I know talk of a soul they mean a human soul and when they talk of a spirit they normally mean either an animate/inanimate object's form or a deceased person's etheric form. 4)I think the Christian bible is a very interesting book with many interesting stories that sometimes tell metaphorical truths.
