Hi, back when I was in High school my science teacher had us walk holding 2 rods parrell to eachother and walk across the room, when I got to a certain spot they started move like they were strong magnets repelling eachother (only 1 other person had any effect and it was very little) later he said there was a water pipe right under the floor where I crossed and he said I was a water witch, he said he had never seen them act so strong as it did with me. Does this have anything to do with Wicca? thx for your time, and sorry I know nothing about Wicca

DEAR FRIEND,
THANK YOU FOR YOUR QUESTION... HOWEVER, DESPITE THE TERM 'WITCH', WATER WITCHING IS NOT RELATED TO WICCA.( ALTHOUGH THERE MAY BE A WICCAN WHO CAN DO THIS! :) )
IT IS A FORM OF DIVINING, OR LOCATING SOMETHING (WATER, OR GOLD, OR OTHER MINERALS) WITH A ROD OR TWIGS.
I DO BELIEVE THAT SOME PEOPLE HAVE THE GIFT FOR FINDING UNDERGROUND WATER SOURCES. IN THE SOUTH, IT IS ACTUALLY A RESPECTED TALENT, AND THERE ARE STILL PEOPLE WHO DO THIS PROFESSIONALLY (YOU CAN STILL FIND THEM IN THE PHONE BOOKS UNDER WATER LOCATING SERVICES). THEY HELP LOCATE ADEQUATE WATER SOURCES FOR NEW WELLS AND FOR CATTLE PONDS.
IT SOUNDS AS IF YOU MAY HAVE A GIFT FOR THIS. THERE ARE A FEW BOOKS YOU CAN READ TO HELP YOU REFINE THIS WONDERFUL ART.
TRY THIS ONE BELOW, IT WAS RECOMMENDED BY A DEAR OLD FRIEND FROM TEXAS, WHO SAYS THIS IS THE BEST BOOK TO START WITH.
Divining Rod: A History of Water Witching Arthur J. Ellis
I HOPE YOU LET ME KNOW IF YOU DECIDE TO GO FURTHER WITH YOUR GIFT... IF SO, PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW IT IS GOING...
I WOULD LOVE TO BE ABLE TO SAY I KNOW SOMEONE WHO CAN DIVINE. I MAY NEED A NEW WELL MYSELF ONEDAY!
THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS QUESTION... BLESSINGS TO YOU, AND GOOD LUCK.
MERRY MEET AGAIN,
LOVE, BETHANY
