I have had discussions - both on and offline - in regards to a crisis of faith within Wicca.
In my experience, it very much relates to what you believed as you grew up. One who was raised a Christian, but follows another path in adulthood may tend to "fear hell" - whereas someone raised as an athiest or agnostic will more "fear delusion."
What are your experiences? And how do you deal with them?
Moondog gave this response on 2/26/2000:
I my self was raised christian. It never felt right. To many question. When I first discovered the Wiccan path There was a fear of hell, But as I learned more, the more questions I had about the christian faith. The more my fears diminished. You might say my questions became my answers. A few of my questions were: How could God create so many souls knowing they were to be damned. How could a Buddhist monk who lived a perfect wife and followed his faith to the letter be condemned to hell because Jesus wasn't involved. If jealousy is a negative human emotion why does God posses it. Who are the other Gods. These things made no since to me. I could not believe God was the way he was according to the christian faith. I no longer have a fear of hell because I no longer believe in it's existence. The way I delta with it was, every time I would think about it I would remind my self of the questions I had regarding the christian faith. This helped me to disregard my old beliefs, and embrace my new ones. I hope that I have help. If you have any more questions don't hesitate ask.
Merry part. (:K

Does this mean that you feel you never have any crisis of faith?
Frankly, I'm not saying that it causes you to disbelieve what you follow as of now, but I am asking if you have never felt any doubts whatsoever? And you do not believe that you will ever have any doubts from here out?
For myself, I find that difficult to believe - but other person's experiences may be different.

Yes in the very beginning when I was first changing from chrisianty to the wiccan faith there were times that I had douts about my decition. I would say that in the first year they're were several times I questioned it, but this is in my nature. I analize every thing over and over. Now that I have been praticing for years, I no longer have any douts, and no I don't expect that I will any more.
