I have had discussions - both on and offline - in regards to a crisis of faith within Wicca.
In my experience, it very much relates to what you believed as you grew up. One who was raised a Christian, but follows another path in adulthood may tend to "fear hell" - whereas someone raised as an athiest or agnostic will more "fear delusion."
What are your experiences? And how do you deal with them?

The coven I was in featured two Christians who adopted the Wiccan lifestyle because they found in it a filled a void because of things that their religion was lacking. One of them was my student, and at first one of the fiercest arguments we had was over the validity of Ostara in the light of the sacrifice of Christ. I pointed out that the crucifiction was the resurrection, not the death itself. That made the parallels obvious to him.
I think that the "fear" that keeps some seekers away is more indoctrination by the clergy, parents, etc., than anything else. After all (as my Catholic friend has often pointed out) St. Francis' "Brother Sun and Sister Moon" is as Pagan as it gets.
