Sierra used to be my most favorite computer games company.. I played space quest 1,2,3,4,5... police quest 1,3.. leisure suit larry 1,2,3,5,6... my most favorite of all were the Quest for Glory series... QG2 made a major impact on my memory... it's one very fine rpg with a very cool story. Try to play it if you can. I played QG2,3,4 (didn't like 4 that much.. it was unbelievably buggy).
I also played Gabriel Knight Sins of the Fathers.... but I got stuck in some place and I couldn't proceed. But it was a nice game..
I really like deathmatch games a lot... like the Quake series... you probably never heard of it..

Sure, my brother loves shoot-em-up's. Quake, Doom, Blood, Duke Nuke'em, all that stuff... I go for the more intellectual stuff.
I got "The Beast Within" first, then I found out about the series and bought "Sins of the Fathers" (thankfully I hadn't started on the second one yet). I bought "Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned" (the third one) as soon as it came out, but I only took a look at the intro, I haven't played it yet.
The third one is the most intriguing though, because it's based on a real-life enigma that still hasn't been solved--and that has been a passion of mine for years. I can't wait what solution Jane Jensen (the author) proposes...
