Hi everyone,
I just got audited by the IRS because of my amended 92 tax return for my "contributions" to the cult of $cientology. When the auditor arrived at my front door she had the belief that $cientology was a REAL church. She expected to just look at all my receipts and canceled checks and be all done in 30 minutes or so.
BOY, did I have a story to tell her! She ended up staying with me in my apartment for almost FOUR hours. She wanted to hear EVERYTHING I had to tell her, even if had nothing to do with my tax returns. She wrote down everything for the report that she had to write. She even wanted copies of some of the letters that I've been sending to the executive directors of both the S.F. mission and Org. She was totally blown away when I showed her the financial gymnastics that the $cientology registrar would pull just to get money out of me. She HAD to believe me about all this because I had the PROOF right there in front of me.
Because of everything I told her she said that she was going to see if she could get some kind a criminal investigation into $cientology started. I don't know how far this will go but if enough stories like mine get back to the IRS then just maybe $cientology will get their tax exempt status pulled. When THAT happens I know that *I'LL* certainly go out dancing in the streets.
We both had a wonderful time yesterday, wish you all could have been here to see it. I never knew that getting "audited" could be so much fun.
