Recently bought a 19 ft. bowrider with a Mercruiser 4.3l, 190hp engine, about 2 years old. It was winterized by previous owner and has not been started for about three months..How do I de-winterize it? Any special precautions? Bill

not knowing how it was winterized,i will just have to hope that they followed a standard winterizing procedure. 1.install all petcocks and water plugs.there should be around 6 of these. 2.hook up all water hoses that are loose or off.2-3 of these. 3.make sure the battery is fully charged and hook it up.make sure the connections are tight. 4.make sure the drain plug is installed and back the boat in the water.lower the outdrive and pump the throttle 4-5 times, then crank the engine over and it should start. when the engine starts,it should smoke for a short time aand then clear up.this is the fogging oil and is normal.
