Do you have any suggestions as to who or where I might go to find a good used Merc 1 or a Alpha 1 stern drive for my older 22'SeaRay? the merc 1 outdrive has not been made for years.what you may be looking for is the merc2 outdrive.you should be able to pick up one of those,just try and make sure you get the same gear ratio.
