Since religion seems to be more of an overt factor in politics as well as other aspects of our lives than before, I would welcome any and all views, including the reasoning that supports those views, in the question, "If Jesus was to vote in the next election would he be a Democrat or a Republican?".

I hope you realise I have fun but some truth to these types of answers, and do answer without as much research as perhaps they truely deserve.
But Jesus even in his day, with Roman domination did not come to change the political system, but to fullfill a heavenly kingdom.
What I can not get so many christians to understand is that there is not voting, affirmitive action, committiees,
can you imagion in the story of creatoionl the Holy Ghost and Jesus, telling the Father that he needs to wait to finish, they are having a meeting on the use of a certain type of tree?
or that the angles have unionised and are demanding bigger halo's or something
And I don't thing that we will have elections for ruler of heaven either
