In Larry's defense,I have read his answers, He has given me advice, I feel better then ever before. I don't know anything about scientology,I din't even know there was a difference between that and psychology. Now that I know where his advice came from I'm gonna check it out. One thing I do know about though is living with a former mental patient who grew more insane the more he was treated by psychiatry. When the pills didn't work, they only made his temper flare, they tried ECT. I wish I could turn back time. I wish that when I visit him monthly he didn't drool all over himself,I wish he could remember my name. The sad thing is I can't do anything to get him out of the instituition. the sad thing is he went in to see a MD with mild depresssion. he use to be successful,he use to be a very loving man. I miss him very much. I wish I had heard larry's advice and followups earlier in life. i could have saved my soulmate. One week depression free, and signing up for a course at the nearest scientology organization. Screw,Psychiatry! Inhuman bastards!
happily signed, Taya

Im sorry for the pain and suffering you have been through watching someone you love be treated like that. However, please don't blame the discipline....blame the people who treated him, who didn't do the right things...etc. It's not fair to call us Inhuman bastards...it would be more fair to say that Scientology worked for you. People who use things in the wrong way are to blame. Even what I do...I work with children with autism using Applied Behavior Analysis. It has been proven that ABA works. But who uses it is a different story. There are people out there who say they know ABA and work with desperate families and end up doing more harm than good and charging an arm and a leg no less. And it's sad because it makes what I do look REALLY REALLy bad. Im happy for you that you found something that can give you answers and feel better about yourself and life. Everyone needs that. But don't put the blame on the wrong thing. Scientology may be a great thing but there are people who could misuse that as well and lead you wrong....be careful and good luck with your brand new life ahead of you.

Yeah electric shock therapy can prolly do more harm than good..but that was not my point, not all psychiatrists use ECT, not all psychiatrists or even people in the field of psychology AGREE on the use of ECT. Because some people in the field use it doesn't make us all bad. I think you missed the meaning of my reply (I didn't even mention the use of ECT). My point is you can't say for example "hey there was a chinese guy who broke into my house and stole all my valuables..I HATE ALL CHINESE PEOPLE..." This is what brings on hate and misunderstanding in this world. If you look into psycholoy or psychiatry you may find that there are many who don't advocate the use of ECT. Don't put us all in one category...don't forget, we are individuals too.
