) it sure looks to me like Ms. Brooks and Mr. Minton have either gone over to the dark side, or they are being blackmailed with something extremely injurious. The perjury has gone from tragedy to farce and back again.
It buggers reason to believe Ms. Brooks statement that she doesn't actually believe Scientology Inc. caused Ms. McPherson's death--- the police officers investigating believed it, the medical examiner believed it, the district attorney believed it, even Scientology Inc. believes it (they sent two of the suspects, which the police were looking for, out of the country via their "Project Quaker")..... but Ms. Brooks does not. Ms. Brooks is in effect asking the Judge to believe that she, Ms. Brooks, is a brainless moron.
It was my wish to think the best of Mr. Minton and Ms. Brooks, and give them every benefit of any doubt; after reading the court transcripts, the best I can do is to state that I believe there is a powerful threat hanging over Mr. Minton and Ms. Brooks, with Scientology Inc. in position to reveal or enact that threat.
Nothing else makes sense. Weeks ago I posted, in jest, that Scientology Inc. must have kidnapped Minton's children and are holding them as insurance for Minton's "good behavior" in court;
after reading the court transcripts, I wonder if the jest is not too close to the truth. If this is close to the fact, then I do not blame Mr. Mionton at all.
Ms. Brooks behavior, however, hardly seems explainable even for such extortion. Imagine tickling the ribs of the man who laughed with glee at the mention of your husband dying a slow and painful death, and who also may have ordered the deaths of some cats at your cat shelter.... among other sinister deeds. Would your laughing with, flirting with, and fondling this man be a RATIONAL act?
