Hi. I am a 25 year old single mom of a 9 month old. I really want to have a relationship with a man. It is hard for me to get out to go to clubs, ect. Therefore, I have been meeting men online. My problem is that I really have no babysitter so I can't come and go as I please. Will I find a man who will understand and put up with this? Right now I am interested in this one guy. He lives 2 hours away and wants to meet half way sometimes. How do I explain that I can not just do this on call? And that my daughter will most likely have to tag along?....Thanks

DearLeanOnMe: I know from experince how hard it is to raise a child on your own and have a adult relationship all at the same time. Talking on line can be enticing as well as entertaining. However as I'm sure you are aware it can be dangerous. When my children were young,I spent alot of time at the mall or parks.Especially the parks on weekends that's when alot of single men are out with their kids. When you meet them on solid territory like that you get a chance to meet their kids and they in turn get to know yours.Try running out with the baby sometimes around 9:30 and 10pm to the market. hang out around the frozen food department. That pretty much indicates a man who is eating alone. There are single parents groups all over the country my friend who happens to be male meet his wife there with his daughter and her son. Try not to fell as though you are stuck. By joining different groups that are designed for children you will meet lots of possible sitters. Trust me I have been there. Good luck. Omega2000
