I've read quite a bit about communal living and I think I'd like to do that some time in the future. But, I'd like it to be ina pagan/wiccan setting. Does anyone know of any places like that?

Any form of the above...I've checked into shared housing, planned neighborhoods, etc...
gabby2600 gave this response on 4/22/2000:
Ok
a) A shared house is good but as alwasy unless every one is used to shareing it can get vrey hard as, you are expected to pull you own weight. Also it can be very hard in such a manner to get any privacy, or quiet. This however if it does work is very economical. I have no known any Witches which have run a shared. So I cannot tel you if it works or not. However if all perties involved are in agreement, and some house rules are set out b 4 hand then it should work.
b) Living as a closed comunity dose not realy work, as with all human beings we need out side stimulation, and as there have been many examples of closed comunities going wrong this I think would be a very bad Idea. For example there is Wacko, this is probebly the worst example of a religious comunity gone wrong, but many have done similar thinks like the comunity which killed themeselves when that commet passed. So this would not work.
The other option is a non closed comunity, however it needs to be in a remote area other wise you will always have christians or other religions knocking on your door trying to conver the village. One think which migh work and that is something Like the Rainbow camps. These camps have been set up by ageing hippys, and it is a very open comunity, you can go there join them for a wee a,d they will accept you and look after you. Somthing aling this line would work well with a wiccan comunity, as any practiceing witches will be able to offer trade, and skills to people. Also starig a camp is a lot easyer that setting up a comunity.
I don't knwo off and of any places in the US. I dod know there is a small group in southern Island. However if you find a closed comunity you will find it easy to join but hard to leave. It might be worth looking at the shared house option and starting your own with some other wiccans, and then expand from there. If you could find a remote farm or cottage out near a forest this would be ideal. as it can be a very good source of food, and herbs.
I hop this has helped you. and I hope you find a comuity of such if you don't well you may be the first to set one up and remember there are always witchews and wiccans willing to help you.
